About AI Image Variations

AI Image Variations takes one photo and makes 1 to 4 new versions that look a little different. You do not need to write anything. Add your photo, pick how many versions you want, and press Generate variations. Each new version shows up in its own box. One may have a new angle, one a new colour, one a new mood.

Say you have only one good photo and you want to see the same thing in a different way. Or you are a designer and need a few options for a mood board. This tool does that job without any editing. But know this first: you cannot choose what will change. The tool picks by itself.

One photo, many looks: what you get

The tool has a box where you drop your photo, a "Number of variations" menu (1, 2, 3 or 4), and a Generate variations button. The new pictures show up in separate boxes called "Variation 1", "Variation 2" and so on. Each one has an Open / save button.

Your own photo stays at the top with its name, size and file size. This makes it easy to compare. You can put the new picture next to the old one and see what changed.

How to use AI image variations in under three minutes

• Step 1: Add your photo. Use a PNG, JPEG or WebP file, up to 20 MB. You cannot paste a link. You need to pick the file from your phone or computer.
• Step 2: Pick how many versions. Choose from 1 to 4. Start with 2. You will see why a little further down.
• Step 3: Click Generate variations. Wait a few seconds. The new pictures come one by one, each in its own box.
• Step 4: Look and save. Press Open / save on the ones you like and save them on your device. Cancel stops the work. Reset clears everything.

What changes in each version, and what stays

The tool tries a different kind of change each time. Sometimes the angle of the picture and the small details change. In other versions, the colours, the light and the background change. Or the whole mood or art style changes. And sometimes you just get a fresh version where the thing is the same but the details are new.

Here is something many people do not know. If you press Generate variations again on the same photo, you can get new versions, not the same ones. So if one round gives you nothing you like, do not give up. A second round can be very different. But each round uses pictures from your daily limit, so count before you press.

Most of the time, you can still tell what the main thing in the photo is. But this is not a promise. Some versions will not please you, and that is normal. Press Generate variations again and see new ones.

Example

Photo: a red apple on a wooden table. Number of versions: 2. In Variation 1, the apple stayed red, but the whole scene changed. Now it was in a kitchen, on a cutting board, with a knife next to it. In Variation 2, the apple turned yellow and the background became a bright blue. In both, you could still see it was an apple. But neither was a copy of the original. Both came out smaller than the original photo.

This shows one thing clearly. One version can be "the same photo, a little different". Another can be "the same thing in a totally different world". You cannot know before you try, and that is why making more than one version is useful.

How to judge your versions in 30 seconds

When the new pictures show up, do not just pick the one that looks "cool". Ask four small questions about each one.

• Can you still tell what the main thing is? If the apple stopped looking like an apple, skip it.
• Are the colours what you want to show? A nice colour is not useful if it is not the real colour of your thing.
• Does anything look odd? Check the edges, fingers and any words in the picture.
• Would someone feel cheated if they saw it? If yes, use it only as an idea, not as a real photo.

Which photos work best for AI image variations

The photo you start with matters more than most people think. These things usually help.

• One clear thing in the middle of the photo, not ten things.
• Good light, so the AI can see the shape and the colour.
• A plain or simple background.
• A photo that is not tiny, since a very small one gives the AI very little to work with.

These usually give weaker results: a dark photo, a crowded photo with many people, and a photo full of small words. If you must use one, make only 2 versions first and see.

Imagine this

Meena bakes cakes at home and has one good photo of a chocolate cake. She makes 4 versions. She picks three that have a nice mood, such as a warm table and a soft light, and uses them for her "weekend treat" posts. But when she posts about an order, she uses her real photo, because the customer must see the real cake. The new versions are for the mood. The real photo is for the promise.

How many versions should you make? Start with 2

Each version uses one picture from your daily limit. So 4 versions use 4 pictures. Here is the way I like to do it. Make 2 first. If one of them is good, stop. If not, make more.

At the top of the tool you will see "AI service connected" and "N left today". That number shows how many pictures you can still make today. Every new day gives you a fresh limit.

Good to know

A clear photo with good light gives better versions. If your photo is dark or very small, the AI has less to work with, and the results look flat. If the results feel dull, try a better photo first. Do not blame the tool right away.

If you sell things: your product must look real

Say you have one photo of a kurti and you make a few versions. In one version, the colour of the kurti changed a little, or the design is different. That version may be fine for a social media post. But if you put it in your Meesho, Flipkart or Amazon listing, the customer will get something that was not in the photo.

That means more returns, a lower rating and a customer who does not trust you any more. It is hard to win trust back. So keep one simple rule: the main photo in your listing must always be a real photo of the real product. Use the new versions for mood, for background ideas or for ads. Do not use them to show the colour or the design of your product.

What to do after you get your versions

Often this tool is the first step, not the last. Here is a small plan that works well.

• Make 2 versions first and pick the best one.
• If you want to change one small thing, like the background colour, put it in AI Image Editor by Prompt and write what to change.
• Make the final file smaller with Compress JPG if your post or upload has a size limit.

This way the AI gives you the ideas, and you make the final choice yourself. That is a good balance.

What AI Image Variations does not do

• You cannot write what you want to change. There is no text box and no slider.
• You cannot use a link. You have to upload a file.
• There is no history or gallery. Save the ones you like right away.
• The new pictures are smaller than a big original. They are good for posts and previews, not for big prints.
• Words or a logo inside your photo can change or look broken. So do not use this tool for final brand pictures.

Who uses AI image variations, and where

Online sellers. You have one photo of a product and you want to see it in different looks. It is easy to compare which background or mood will look best in an ad. Before you upload a final photo to a shopping site, check the size rules of that site.

Designers and students. You need a few looks of one idea for a mood board, a poster or a class slide. The final work is done later in your own editor.

Social media creators. You want many different posts from one photo. It is a way to stop posting the same picture again and again.

Small shop owners. You need a poster or a WhatsApp status. See one photo in a few styles and pick the best one.

Is AI Image Variations free?

No, it is not free. AI Image Variations is part of the Advanced and Pro plans, and you need to log in. With a free account you can see the tool page, but you cannot make variations. Each plan has a daily limit, and it starts again every day. You can see the prices on the Pricing page.

How is this different from other options?

On many AI picture sites, you need to write a long prompt, pick a style or choose a preset. Here you just add a photo. That makes the tool quick to use, but you give up control. It is true that you cannot decide anything yourself.

One good thing is that you can get up to 4 different looks in one go, and all of them show on one screen. You do not need to open many tabs and look for each result. But if you want one exact thing, this tool cannot make it, no matter how many times you run it.

Watch for this

This tool is for changing photos in a creative way, not for papers. Do not use it on Aadhaar, PAN or bank papers. Also, zoom in and look closely before you use a result. Small parts, like fingers, can look wrong.
