About AI Image Editor by Prompt

AI Image Editor by Prompt lets you change a photo by writing what you want. Upload one picture, type a short line like "make the red apple green", and press Edit image. When it is done, you get a new picture. You do not need to know Photoshop or any editing app.

It is made for small changes that you can say in one line. Change the colour of a thing. Or the mood of the sky. Or the look of a background. If you can say it in simple words, the tool will try to do it. Remember the word "try". Below, we tell you clearly where it works well and where it does not.

How to edit a photo with AI Image Editor by Prompt, step by step

• Step 1: Add your photo. Drag a photo into the box, or click and pick a file. PNG, JPEG and WebP files work, up to 20 MB. You cannot paste a link to a photo. You need to pick the file from your phone or computer.
• Step 2: Write what you want. Type one clear change in the "Editing instruction" box. You can write up to 800 letters, but you will almost never need that much.
• Step 3 (optional): Pick a part of the photo. Tick "Limit the request to a selected rectangular region" and draw a box on the photo. Then only that part will change.
• Step 4: Press Edit image. Wait a few seconds. Your new picture shows up on the right side.
• Step 5: Check it and keep it. Press Show original to see your old photo again. Like the new one? Press Download result. You can also press Open full result to see it bigger. Did not like it? Change your words a little and press Edit image again. Cancel stops the work. Reset clears everything.

Write your words so the AI does not have to guess

Most of the result depends on what you write. The tool reads your words the way a person does. If your words are vague, the result will be vague too. Look at these three examples.

• Weak: "make it nice". Nice how? Brighter? Warmer? The AI will pick for you, and it may not pick what you like.
• Better: "turn the red apple into a green apple". One thing, one change.
• Best: "replace the grey sky with a warm sunset, keeping the building unchanged". It says what to change and what to keep.

The last one is already written in the tool box as an example. Copy it and change the words to fit your photo. It is the easiest way to start.

Good to know

All our tests used English instructions. If you write in another language, the result may be different. Also, ask for only one change at a time. If you ask for three changes together, the AI can get mixed up. Do one change first. If you like the result, download it, upload it again, and ask for the next change.

Six instructions to try first on an AI image editor by prompt

Not sure what to type? Try these six. Only the sky one is the tool's own example. The others are my ideas, and every photo gives a different result, so do not take them as promises.

• Change a colour: "change the colour of the mug on the table to blue"
• Change the sky: "replace the grey sky with a warm sunset, keeping the building unchanged"
• Change the light: "make the scene look like early morning light"
• Change the season: "make the garden look like autumn with orange leaves"
• Change the background colour: "make the plain background a soft light blue"
• Swap one thing: "replace the plain white wall with light wooden panels"

Look at how each line starts with what to change. When it helps, it also says what to keep. Make this a habit and your results will get better.

Change only one part of the photo with the box

Sometimes you only want to fix one corner. Maybe it is the colour of a mug on a table, or an empty part of the background. The "Limit the request to a selected rectangular region" box is for this. Tick it, draw a box on your photo, and write your instruction. Only that part changes. The rest of the photo stays as it was.

One honest note. This is not a brush. You can only draw a straight box, not a round or curvy shape. The AI looks at everything inside your box, so keep the box small and close to the thing you want to change.

What we tried

Example

Photo: a red apple on a wooden table, with a blurry chair behind it. Instruction: the "Better" line from the list above. Result: the same table, the same light, the same chair, but now the apple was green. The shape and the shine of the apple looked almost the same. One thing to notice: the new picture came out smaller than the original. That is fine for a social media post. It is not good for a big print.

This test shows one thing. When the change is small and clear, the tool does well. When you ask for many things in one line, it can go wrong more often.

Why some photos give better results than others

Two people can write the same words and get very different pictures. The photo itself matters a lot. A few things help.

• Simple photos win. One mug on a plain table is easier than a busy street with twenty people.
• Good light helps. A dark or blurry photo gives the AI very little to work with.
• Big things are easier than tiny things. If the thing you want to change is large in the photo, the tool finds it easily. If it is a small spot in the corner, it may miss it. The box can help here.
• Small changes win. Changing a colour is easier than changing the whole scene.

So if one photo gives a bad result, try the same words on a simpler photo before you decide that your words were wrong.

What AI Image Editor by Prompt does not do

• It cannot edit a photo from a link. You have to upload a file.
• It gives one result each time. If you want another version, change your words a little and run it again.
• There is no brush, no round shapes, no layers and no fine controls. It does not replace Photoshop.
• The new picture is smaller than a big original. It is good for posts and previews, not for big prints.
• Requests for adult, violent or harmful pictures are not accepted.
• It may not do exactly what you wrote. Sometimes the result is a little different. Then change your words and try again. But remember that each result uses one picture from your daily limit.

Before you upload: four quick checks

Take ten seconds to check these. It can save you a few tries from your daily limit.

• Is the photo clear? Not too dark, not blurry.
• Do you know the one change you want? Say it in your head first, then write it.
• Is there anything private in the photo? Think about faces of children, house numbers, phone numbers or papers. If you would not post it online, do not upload it here.
• Where will you use the result? If it is for a social post or a preview, you are fine. If it is for a big print, this is the wrong tool.

Who uses AI Image Editor by Prompt, and where

Online sellers. You have one photo of your product and you want to see it with a different background colour. This helps you pick what looks best. Before you upload a final photo to Meesho, Flipkart or Amazon, check the size rules of that site. This tool is not made for big HD pictures.

Social media creators. Maybe you want a festival post, a Diwali or Rakhi mood, or a thumbnail for a video. Changing the sky or the background is one line of work.

Small shop owners. You need a poster, a banner or a WhatsApp status for your shop. Change the mood of one photo and see the idea before you call a designer.

Imagine this

Ravi has a tea stall. He has one photo of his stall taken in the afternoon, and he wants a Diwali poster. He uploads the photo and writes: "make the sky look like a warm evening, keeping the stall unchanged". Then he presses Show original and compares the two. The sky looks good, but the small letters on his shop board look strange. So he keeps the new picture only as the poster background, and adds his shop name later in a poster app. That is a good way to use this tool. Let it do the mood, and do the exact parts yourself.

Students and teachers. You need one small change in a picture for a project or a class slide. You do not need to learn an editing app.

Designers. You want to test a colour or a mood quickly before showing it to a client. The final work is done in your own editor later.

Is AI Image Editor by Prompt free?

No, it is not free. This tool is part of the Advanced and Pro plans, and you need to log in to use it. With a free account, you can see the tool page, but you cannot edit a photo.

Each plan has a daily limit of AI pictures. The limit starts again every day. At the top of the tool you can see "AI service connected" and "N left today". That number is how many pictures you can still make today. You can see the plan prices on the Pricing page.

How is this AI image editor by prompt different from Photoshop or a phone app?

In a phone app, you pick a filter. In Photoshop, you draw masks by hand. Here, you just write. That makes it fast, but you get less control.

If you want to see a small change quickly, this tool is fine. If you need a perfect edit, like fixing a bit of hair or the edge of a logo, use a proper editor. This tool is not made for that work, and if you expect that much, you will be let down. One good thing is that Show original lets you see the old and new photo in one tap. So you can spot a bad result fast.

Watch for this

This tool is for changing photos in a creative way. Do not use it on papers like Aadhaar, PAN or bank papers. Also, zoom in and look closely before you use a result. Small parts, like fingers or tiny words, can look wrong.
