About AI Paraphrasing Tool
What does AI Paraphrasing Tool do?
Rewrite text with 9 modes, protected terms, strength controls, live writing, comparison, alternatives, and editable output.
Paraphrase Your Draft Without Giving Up Editorial Control
A useful paraphrasing tool should do more than swap a few words. It should help you reshape a sentence, improve the flow of a paragraph, or adapt a draft for a different reader. This tool processes your text online and returns the rewrite to an editable workspace. Your selected mode and controls guide how the wording should change.
You stay in charge of the final version. You can compare the wording, inspect basic statistics, edit the result directly, request alternatives for a selected phrase, or move the output back into the input editor for another pass. None of those steps proves that the result is accurate or original. They simply give you a clearer review process.
Watch for thisAI can change a fact, condition, citation, name, number, or intended tone. Always compare the result with your source. This paraphrasing tool does not guarantee plagiarism avoidance, AI-detector outcomes, academic acceptance, or ownership of someone else's ideas.
Choose a Rewrite Mode That Matches the Real Task
The workspace provides nine modes. Each mode applies a different editing direction. Modes are not cosmetic labels. They change what the writing service is asked to prioritize, although the final result still depends on your input.
- Standard: creates a natural rewrite with changed vocabulary and sentence structure while trying to preserve the full meaning.
- Fluency: focuses on grammar, transitions, repetition, and the overall reading flow.
- Formal: asks for professional wording, precise language, and a measured tone.
- Simple: uses shorter sentences and more familiar words where the subject allows them.
- Academic: uses a careful scholarly tone without inventing evidence, citations, or technical claims.
- Creative: varies rhythm and expression while keeping a boundary against made-up facts and examples.
- Shorten: aims to keep the essential information in roughly 65% to 80% of the original length.
- Expand: makes ideas already present more explicit and aims for roughly 120% to 140% of the starting length.
- Custom: follows a short instruction you write for a specific audience, purpose, or style.
Which one should you choose? Start with Standard if you only want a fresh version. Choose Fluency when your draft is already accurate but feels awkward. Use Shorten for a wordy paragraph and Simple when the reader may not know the subject. Academic mode can adjust style, but it cannot validate research or supply missing citations.
Rewrite strength controls how far the wording moves
The strength slider runs from 1 to 5. Level 1 requests light edits and keeps the structure close to your source. Level 3 asks for balanced changes. Level 5 requests a visibly different structure and rhythm while still preserving meaning and facts.
A stronger rewrite is not automatically better. If the passage contains legal conditions, scientific language, product specifications, or carefully qualified claims, begin at level 1 or 2. A higher level is more useful when you own the draft and want to explore a genuinely different expression of the same point.
Good to knowChange one setting at a time when you are comparing modes. If you switch the mode, strength, output language, and custom direction together, it becomes harder to identify why the result changed.
Protect Terms, Numbers, Quotes, and Document Structure
Some text should not move. Add brand names, product codes, technical phrases, legal wording, or other important items to Protected words or phrases. Enter one item per line. The writing service receives an instruction to preserve those exact items, including their casing.
Protection is a best-effort AI instruction rather than a hard lock. Check every protected term after the rewrite. This matters when two terms look similar, when punctuation touches a code, or when the output language differs from the source language.
The advanced controls also let you keep numbers, dates, named entities, factual claims, quotations, citations, headings, lists, and paragraph breaks. Grammar correction is a separate option. These instructions reduce accidental drift, but they do not replace your review.
Output language is separate from writing mode
Keep Same as input when you only want paraphrasing. You can also request English, Hindi, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, or Indonesian output. A translated rewrite involves two tasks at once: interpreting the source and expressing it in another language. Review names, measurements, idioms, and technical wording with extra care.
The language menu does not claim certified translation. For contracts, medical records, immigration documents, or other high-stakes material, use a qualified translator who can check the full context.
How to Use the AI Paraphrasing Tool
- Add your text. Type, paste, load the sample, or upload a plain TXT or Markdown file no larger than 1 MB.
- Choose a mode. Pick the editing purpose instead of selecting a style only because it sounds impressive.
- Set rewrite strength. Start lower for fact-heavy text and move higher only when you want a larger structural change.
- Open Advanced controls. Add protected terms and decide what the rewrite should preserve.
- Choose the output language. Leave it unchanged unless you also need a translated rewrite.
- Press Paraphrase. The revised text appears progressively in the editable result area.
- Compare and edit. Inspect highlighted changes, verify every claim, and edit the result in the output box.
- Copy or download. Copy the reviewed result, download TXT, or use it as the next input.
The input limit is 2,000 words and 14,000 characters. The editable result accepts up to 24,000 characters. Working below the maximum usually makes review easier because you can compare one logical section at a time.
ExampleSuppose you wrote a 180-word product update that sounds stiff. Choose Fluency, set strength to 2, protect the product name and version number, and keep numbers enabled. After the rewrite, compare the release date, version, feature names, and any promise made to customers. Then edit the result until it sounds like your own final message.
Compare the Result Instead of Trusting a Fluent Paragraph
The Compare changes tab highlights output wording that differs from the input. It is a review aid, not a legal or linguistic audit. Large rearrangements can make a simple word-level comparison look heavily changed even when several ideas remain the same.
Read both versions side by side. Check who performed each action, what happened, when it happened, and which conditions apply. Watch small words such as may, must, usually, only, before, and after. Changing one of them can reverse or strengthen a claim.
The Statistics tab reports output words, characters, sentence count, estimated reading minutes, and an approximate change percentage. These measurements describe shape, not quality. A 70% change score does not mean the text is 70% more original, accurate, natural, or useful.
Request contextual alternatives for selected wording
You can select a word or phrase of up to 12 words in the editable result and press Suggest alternatives. The selected wording and nearby context are processed together. The tool asks for five short replacement options and displays them as buttons.
Clicking an option replaces the current selection. Read the complete sentence again afterward. A phrase can be a valid synonym in isolation but sound wrong with the surrounding grammar, tense, subject, or tone.
Local History Is Optional
The tool can keep up to ten recent results in browser storage. History is off by default. Enable Save history on this device only if storing the rewritten text in that browser is acceptable. You can restore a saved result or clear the history from the History tab.
If history remains off, results stay in the current page memory only. Closing or refreshing the page can remove them. Browser privacy settings may block storage even when you enable it, so download any result you need to keep.
Privacy reminderParaphrasing requires online processing. Do not enter passwords, private client data, unreleased financial information, medical records, or other confidential material.
What This Tool Does Not Promise
Paraphrasing changes expression. It does not make a borrowed idea yours, remove a citation requirement, verify a factual claim, or grant permission to reuse protected material. If a source informed your work, keep the attribution required by your school, publisher, employer, license, or applicable rules.
The tool also does not promise to bypass plagiarism systems or AI detectors. Those systems use different methods and can produce false positives or false negatives. Editing solely to chase a detector score can make a useful draft less accurate and less readable.
If one processing route is unavailable before writing begins, the tool can switch automatically to another configured route. If no route responds, you will see a short temporary-error message and can retry later.
Direct quotations need special care
A direct quotation represents the source's exact words. Keep it unchanged and cite it properly. If you rewrite the quoted wording, remove quotation marks and present it as a paraphrase with the attribution your context requires.
The Keep quoted text control asks the writing service not to alter quotations. Still compare them character by character when exact language matters. Curly quotes, nested quotations, or unusual citation formats can be interpreted differently during a rewrite.
Troubleshooting Common Paraphrasing Problems
The result includes analysis or labels
The interface removes common reasoning tags and rejects obvious internal-analysis output. If the service returns commentary instead of a clean rewrite, the tool shows an error rather than mixing that commentary into your result. Retry once. If it continues, shorten the input or try again later.
The rewrite changed an important term
Add the term to Protected words or phrases and lower the strength. Keep factual controls enabled. For highly sensitive terminology, rewrite a smaller section and verify each occurrence manually.
The result is too long or too short
Check the selected mode. Expand intentionally adds explanation, while Shorten removes repetition and compresses structure. Standard, Fluency, Formal, Simple, Academic, and Creative do not target an exact length. Use Custom mode when you need a clear word-range instruction, then verify that no important detail disappeared.
The writing service is temporarily busy
Online writing can be interrupted by network errors, request limits, or a temporary service outage. The tool automatically tries an available processing route before showing an error. If the message remains, wait briefly and retry.
The uploaded document does not load
The upload control supports plain TXT and Markdown files up to 1 MB. It does not extract Word, PDF, image, or scanned-document content. Open an unsupported file in its normal application and paste only the text you are allowed to process.
A Two-Pass Review Catches Problems That One Read Misses
Use the first review pass for meaning. Ignore style for a moment and compare the claims. Confirm the subject, action, result, conditions, dates, names, quantities, and degree of certainty. If the source says a change may reduce costs, the rewrite should not say it will reduce costs. That small shift turns a possibility into a promise.
Use the second pass for writing quality. Read only the output and listen for awkward rhythm, repeated openings, vague references, unnecessary formality, or a tone that does not fit the audience. Edit those issues directly in the output box. You do not need to send every small correction back for processing.
- Check that pronouns still point to the correct person, product, study, or event.
- Confirm that negative words such as not, never, except, and without did not disappear.
- Verify that list items remain in the correct order when sequence matters.
- Restore field-specific terms if a simpler synonym becomes inaccurate.
- Keep links, citations, footnote markers, and quotation boundaries attached to the right claim.
- Read the final result aloud before copying or downloading it.
If the first result misses your goal, avoid repeatedly running the same settings. Lower or raise strength, protect the words that moved incorrectly, and choose the mode that matches the problem. Custom mode works best with a concrete direction such as "Write for first-time customers in short paragraphs" rather than a vague request such as "Make this better."
